WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES?

Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

James 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Luke 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

December 17, 1903 is a day in NC History that made a tremendous impact on Travel. It began in 1900 when Orville and Wilbur Wright attempted to invent a way to travel by air. On December 17, 1903, the first motorized airplane had a successful flight. What a Difference that day made.

Nov. 20, 1941…John George Dine wrote a letter to home which said…..Just a few lines to let you know I am well and hope this letter find you all the same. Well today is Thanksgiving and I am awful sorry that I cant be there with you. But if all goes right I will be home before Christmas.

On December 7, 1941..Pearl Harbor was attacked, and John George Dine was aboard the USS Arizona. He was killed…What a Difference a day makes.

On September 11, 2001…Four US Planes were hijacked by terrorists and flown into the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and into a Field in Pennsylvania killing thousands of innocent people including many children. What a Difference that Day made.

C-JESUS---All Four Gospels—Brought Salvation to the Whole World—1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 

III.             THE DAY OF SALVATION EXPERIENCED

             A-PETER—Matthew 19:27

             B-PAUL--Acts 9 (Damascus Road Experience)

             C-PEOPLE TODAY—Romans 10:9, 10

IV.              THE DAY OF SPIRITUAL LIVING ENCOURAGED

A-BY THE SCRIPTURES-- Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Verse 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

B-BY THE SAVIOUR---John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
