THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN---Daniel 2:24-30; Key Verse 28 Introduction: One of Daniel's great traits was his humility. He didn't claim to be able to interpret dreams on his own, but said "... there is a God in heaven..." I'm glad that no matter how bad the situation gets, THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN! Amen!
I. THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN WHO REVEALS SECRETS---Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
A. He Reveals The Secrets Of Success---Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
B. He Reveals The Secrets Of Stardom---Do you want to be a star?--Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
C. He Reveals The Secrets Of Sin---Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
II. THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN WHO REACHES SINNERS---Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

III. THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN WHO REVIVES SAINTS---Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

IV. THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN WHO IS RETURNING SOON---Hebrews 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

There Will Be Perpetual Rejoicing DON'T SWERVE--1 Timothy 1:1-7; Key Verse 6 Introduction: To swerve is to change course. Some swerves are gradual. Others are sharp and drastic. A swerving is good when it is temporary, for avoiding danger, or when it is necessary to get back on the desired path. In nearly every other case, swerving is dangerous.
A swerving driver of a car makes its passengers nervous.
Likewise, a swerving pastor can make his church nervous. I know a pastor who, after being at his church for a number of years, changed his position about the Rapture of the church. Recently I heard of a pastor who resigned his church after pastoring it for many years. Shortly after he announced his resignation, he announced God did not want him to resign.
A swerving father can make his family nervous. Church workers who swerve can make their friends in Christ nervous.
I. CATEGORIES OR PATHWAYS OF SWERVING---Job 24:13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof. Psa. 17:4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer. Prov. 2:13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Psalms 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
