WHEN SHOULD WE SIT BY THE WATER BROOKS?

·        When Family Despises Us

·        When Friends Depart from Us

·        When Faith is Dead in Us

I.                  WATER BROOK OF COMFORT v.1

 

  1. The Spiritual Desire Vs 1-2 David's Spiritual Desire is seen in 3 ways:

               1-He Turned to God  (so panteth my soul AFTER

THEE 0 God)

2-He Thirsted for God  (my soul thirsteth for God, for the living God)

                           3-He had Tears for God (my tears have been my

                meat day and night)

            B.  The Scornful Doubters v.3

                           1-They are always Present (continually say)

                           2-They are always Personal (say unto me)

         3-They are always Persecuting (where is thy

God)

            C.  The Soul's Delight vs 4-l1

   1-THE PAIN OF REMEMBERING v.4 (when I remember THESE THINGS) David was away from God's house and it pained him to remember some things.

          A-Remembered being Present at the House of

God v.4 (I went)

                          B-Remembered the People at the House of God

                 v.4 (went with them)

                          C-Remembered the Praise at the House of God

                 v.4 (voice of praise)

         2-THE PERSON TO REMEMBER V.6 therefore I

         will remember THEE

                  A-Remember His Countenance v.
