SPIRITUAL LSD (Lust, Sin, & Death)  JAMES 1:12-16

The drug, LSD is legally classed as a hallucinogen, a mind affecting drug, and is noted mainly for producing strong and bizarre mental reactions in people and striking distortions in their physical senses----what and how they see, touch, smell, and hear. This drug, when used regularly, will disable a person’s ability to think clearly, and concentrate on a goal. In the message, I will attempt to show how that LUST, SIN, AND DEATH are similar to the drug, LSD.

I.                 L---LUST

            A-Lust means longing desire, to desire passionately; having

            inordinate, carnal desires.

1-GALATIANS 5:16.

                        2-JAMES 1:14

B-The drug, LSD, as lust will cause you to lose concentration on a goal.

                        1-SAMSON and DELILAH(Judges 16:6,13-23)

                        2-DAVID and BATHESHEBA(II Sam. 11:2-15)

II.             S---SIN

            A-Sin means the transgression against divine or moral law.

            Conduct or state of mind of a habitual or unrepented

sinner.

                         1-ROMANS 5:21-6:4—Shall we continue in sin?

                         2-ROMANS 5:12 

B-The drug, LSD, as sin will cause you to lose the ability

to function in every day life.

III. D---DEATH

             A-Death means extinction of life; decease, or to expire.

                  1-EPHESIANS 2:1-DEAD IN SIN

                  2-ROMANS 6:23-WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH

             B-The drug, LSD, as sin will cause not only Spiritual

Death but will also take your physical life. Unconfessed and unrepented sin will do the same.

IV. THE ONLY REMEDY, THE ONLY CURE, THE ONLY WAY

A-THE ONLY REMEDY IS TO ABSTAIN FROM LSD(lust,sin,death) I Thessalonians 5:22

B-THE ONLY CURE IS GOD’S POWER--Matt. 28:18

            C-THE ONLY WAY IS THRU JESUS’ BLOOD--John 14:6

 WHY NOT TRUST JESUS TO DELIVER YOU FROM THE POWER OF Lust, Sin, and Death?

1-Romans 10:9-“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” 

2-John 3:16-“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
