KEEPING THE FOUNDATIONS STABLE--Psalms 11:3 FOUNDATION OF OUR FAITH 1-OUR SAVIOUR (The Lord Jesus Christ) 1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

3-OUR SECURITY (The Holy Ghost) 2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
THE ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE FOUNDATIONS
A-SATAN--Mt. 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
B-SKEPTICS-2 Pet. 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
C-SOCIETY—Mt. 27:17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. 19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. 23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
THE ARRANGEMENTS TO RELAX THE FOUNDATIONS
A-CONTRASTS—God is Love, God Wouldn’t send anyone to Hell B-COMPROMISES---Let’s just say that the Bible is God’s Word…Doesn’t matter what version or perversion you use as long as you Love Jesus. C-CONSENTS—Before you know it, you will be consenting to the Devil, and the Foundation will Relax, and there will be no where for the building to STAND.
THE ATTACK THAT ROBS THE FOUNDATIONS
A-TARES IN THE WHEAT---Matthew 13:25-30 B-TROUBLE IN THE WORLD--- 1Thess. 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
C-TEMPTATIONS IN THE WILDERNESS---Matthew 4 Jesus…If we find ourselves in bad shape, sometimes it would be easy to give in to the Temptations in order to have it Better around the house…Even though the Betterness is only Temporary.
THIS IS THE INTRODUCTION, NOW HERE’S THE MESSAGE
IN ORDER TO KEEP THE FOUNDATIONS STABLE WE AS THE CHILDREN OF GOD MUST:
I. REMEMBER THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL Mt 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth
II. READ AND STUDY GOD’S WORD 2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
III. REMAIN IN THE GROUP THAT FOLLOWS GOD’S WILL Acts 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: 1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
Conclusion: If the Foundations are not stable, then the Buildings would crumble to the Ground. If we don’t keep the foundations stable in our life…Then we will fall as well. Stand for what is Right, even if you are Standing Alone.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; |
