INSTANT APPROVAL---Romans 14:16-19 Key verse 18
Intro: Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
It would be long and difficult to try to tell each one of you what you need to do each day at your jobs or school to become acceptable to God and approved of man. Other than be a witness for The Lord Jesus Christ.
I can, however, give you some tried and proved things to do here at church. These things will improve you and the way you are perceived by others in numerous ways.
WALK THROUGH THE CHURCH DOORS….
I. AS A HELP NOT A HINDRANCE
A. To the Saints---Ecclesiastes 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
B. To The Shepherd---Philippians 4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
C. To the Spirit---Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
II. AS A PLEASURE NOT A PAIN
A. To the Saints--Prov. 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
B. To The Shepherd--Heb 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
C. To the Spirit---Prov. 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
III. AS A GIVER NOT A GETTER
A. To the Saints---Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
B. To The Shepherd-1Timothy 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
C. To the Spirit---2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
