I WILL GO---Genesis 24:58

These words were spoken by Rebekah. Her family wanted to keep her at least ten days before she joined Issac. Her family asked, "Wilt thou go with this man?"

Her response was, "I will go." We could understand her family being a bit hesitant to allow her to go with one they did not know well. Their question did not stop Rebekah in the least. She was ready to go to Issac’s house.

There are some "houses" we should be ready to travel to in the days ahead. Have you ever thought about these?

I.  I Will Go To The Home Of The Lost. Luke 14:23.

·        Lost sinners need for us to reach out with them in love with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. First, who is lost? Everyone born into this world is born lost (Rom. 3:23;Rom.3:10).Little ones prior to reaching the age of accountability are "safe"—in other words they will not have to go to hell, for they have never realized their accountability to the Lord, but one day they will.

·        Secondly, how long will people be lost? As long as they refuse God’s offer of salvation and spurn God’s call to salvation, they will remain in their sin.

·        Thirdly, why stay lost? It just doesn’t make sense to remain in a lost when you could be saved.

II. I Will Go To The House Of The Lord---Psalms 122:1

·        It should be a place that makes us glad in a bad world. It should be a house of peace, of prayer, and of proclamation.

·        What joy and satisfaction it brings when the saint finds his place at the house of God.

III. I Will Go To The House Of The Poor---Prov.19:17.

·        I know there are professional bums but God help us to recognize and respond to genuine and valid needs of those right around us.

·        Those who are con-artists should not keep us from responding to genuine needs.

IV. I Will Go To The House Of The Glorified---2 Cor. 5:1.

·        Paul refers to the new, glorified body as a house. This old house (body) we are in now is decaying and dying.

·        One day we’ll not have to put up with a body that is affected by disease and pain.

V. I Will Go To The House Of The Redeemed--John 14:2

·        There is a bright, blessed and bountiful home awaiting the children of God at the end of life’s journey.

·        Heaven will surely be worth it all. It will be worth all the trials that here befall. This house is the "big" house!
