I THIRST
Text: John 19:28-30
Introduction: The words of the Saviour on the cross are all very significant and meaningful. The statement, “all Scripture”, is singular. Christ had fulfilled and checked them off one by one until there was one remaining Scripture unfulfilled, Psalms 69:21-They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. This prophecy had to be fulfilled for He came in the volume of the book.
I. THE SUFFERING OF CHRIST…I Peter 3:18-For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Conclusion— He who made the rivers, filled the oceans, and streams. He who created the water, said I thirst. He did it for you and me. We should be more thankful each day for what Jesus did on Calvary for us. |
