DOES GOD REALLY CARE ABOUT YOU?
1 Peter: 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
HOW DOES GOD CARE FOR YOU?
I. HE CARES LIKE A MOTHER FOR HER CHILDREN – SORROW.
Isaiah 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
II. LIKE A FATHER FOR HIS CHILD-SIN
Psalms: 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
III. LIKE A NURSE FOR HER CHARGES
1 Thessalonians: 2:7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children.
IV. LIKE A SHEPHERD FOR HIS SHEEP-LOST
Ezekiel: 34:12: As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
V. LIKE A MOTHER HEN FOR HER CHICKS-DANGER
Matthew: 23:37: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not.
VI. LIKE AN EAGLE FOR HER YOUNG-UNABLE
Deuteronomy: 32:11: As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
VII. LIKE A BRIDEGROOM FOR HIS BRIDE-UNWANTED
Isaiah: 62:5: For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
VIII. C---A---R---E
· C---COMFORT---II Corinthians 1:3-Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
· A---ANCHOR---Hebrews 6:19-Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
· R---REFUGE---Psalms 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:)
· E---EARNEST---Ephesians 1:14-Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
